You might expect that I, as the founding (and only) member of the POLYP Party, would be knowledgeable about former Minnesota gov’nah and wannabe-President Tim Pawlenty.
You would be wrong. I don’t know the slightest thing about his policies, opinions, public standing or even longevity as Governor. You could tell me he is the most popular local politician in the state’s history or that he is the most reviled. I’d be equally inclined to believe either one. This is all very embarrassing.
But I do know one thing: his Presidential bid isn’t getting off to the best of starts. To wit:
Even though, according to some polls, the repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell” was supported by nearly 80 percent of Americans, including three out of four Republicans, future presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty tells a conservative radio host that he supports reinstating the policy.
I hope Pawlenty clarifies his position on this soon, because right now he’s coming off as either an asshole or a moron.
