The end's not near, it's here

15 Oct

The debates have ended! What a whirlwind. Some good times, some crazy times, some “whoa calm down B, it’s not that big of an issue” times, and, frankly, a heaping helping of boredom. Those of you looking for a recap, I’d suggest Andrew Sullivan, my favorite political writer. He’s a classic (as in, non-redneck) conservative, a Barack supporter, and an amazing writer – one of the view national voices that you can trust is giving you his honest two cents at all times, rather than a dogmatic supporter of his chosen party. A rare thing these days.

Wait, what was I getting at? Oh, right: the debates! Over! I promise to get back to more shallow topics soon, but in the meantime, let’s celebrate with a little dance, mkay?

Okay, so we’ve made it through the debates. Does this mean the ads stop, too?

Damn it! This will be the longest 19 days of television in the history of the world.

Favorite line of the debate last night…

“America needs a new direction…” – John McCain

It’s my favorite because if you say it fast enough it sounds like

    “America needs a nude erection…”

    Which I agree with.

The campaigns offer something for everyone.

The election can be over now, yes?
