This should hurt more

30 Sep

Are you heartbroken today? Did you weep uncontrollably last night, drinking yourself to sleep in a fit of misplaced sorrow? I’m not judging you if you did, that’s completely fine, hey, go for it, why not, makes sense. Let it all out.

But to tell you the truth, I’m fine. No, really. A bit bummed, no doubt, but to be honest this never felt like the Twins’ season. So many holes, so many missed opportunities, etc. Not saying it wasn’t fun, because it was. But it felt over. I am feeling an odd lack of disappointment right now.

Helluva run, Twinkies, you really battled your tails off this year (copyright Gardy), but it wasn’t in the cards. C’est la vie. See you in ’09.

I have to agree with your feelings. I had completely accepted the Twins losing this game yesterday before the Sox even played Detroit. I think I even told Courtney that if I had to guess what was going to happen, it would be the Sox beating Detroit, then the Twins. It’s hard to win when you get 2 HITS!!!

Hell of a game by Blackburn, too.

I blame our lack of discipline at the plate in Saturday night’s game against KC. We needed to take 2 of 3 from those guys. Pretty awesome season though. Murph, you thinking 15-16 bombs from Harris next year?

Hey Gates, essentially, the Sox beat us with only one hit…

You can win getting two hits, they just both have to go over the fence.
